Continued exploration of Project 5 questions
After Monday’s presentation I realised that my question had become unfocused, I had done a lot of research and gathered a lot of information but had not further evaluated the valuable parts of all the information and made trade-offs, which resulted in my pitch giving the audience a lack of clarity on the topic.
Originally, when I started this question, my starting point was that I wanted to focus on and combine ‘feminism’ and ‘the arts industry’/’the dance industry’, so I focused on the fact that in the dance industry, the health of dancers is jeopardised. I was concerned that in the dance industry, the body image standards that are detrimental to the health of dancers are not based on scientific evidence, but rather on the mere fact that the body image of a dancer is not a healthy one.
After speaking with my tutor David, I thought that I could spend the next week thinking about and moving forward with the theme of Project5 as follows:
- redefine whether I am interested in the topic?
- who are my stakeholders? Who will I focus on?
