This week was very much a week of contact with the outside world, as I contacted three professionals in counselling, psychotherapy, cognitive neuroscience and psychology to gather clinical experience from them with their views on ai and speculations on future developments.

Jianyun’s view of ai in therapy is that if a systematic assessment can be carried out before the client and the therapist decide to use ai, perhaps ai can intervene in therapy, but the extent of the intervention and the boundaries of cessation need to be clarified. However, she is currently in denial about whether Ai can replace therapists.
